Finally, the nucleus is “the small, massive central part of an atom” (Hazen 198).
Okay, is it just me or does that defination of a nucleus just sound weird? Small, yet massive? Hmm.... *ponders that one*

Whoa, it's been forever and a day since I've actually updated my blog. I know that I say I'll write in it more but eh... if it makes you feel any better blog of mine I don't update the livejournal *that* much... poor blog is feeling left out... *hugs it*
Okay, I think that's a serious sign that I'm going crazy when I'm talking to my blog. Oh well. So yes, my life! Wahoo! I got a job between quarters and absolutely hate it. :) The world of retail is evil and unjust, I wish I could take my mighty powers of good and rid the world of evil (I don't know... I think I'm still tired). On Sunday the whole work environment got to me and I almost started crying/screaming. I mean, it can kind of get on your nerves if:
1) Your co-workers are emotional fuckwits (and jerks)
2) About 85% of the customers don't speak English. I mean, sure, I understand and all but still... I don't know, it really got on my nerves to not understand what they were saying. I felt like I was back in Japan being the stupid foreigner.
3) Customers still can't put their friggin' stuff back! I should go shove a t-shirt down their throat or something
haha, the good news is that I'm going to be working there until Janurary. Weeeeee. I highly suggest avoiding my store if you're going to leave your stuff in the fitting room. Grr grr.
Hmm... what else. This quarter has been extremely hard. I missed my class yesterday (Intro to computer graphics) because of a "family emergency" (aka I lost my wallet). -_-; So I'm going to go the Wednesday morning class (though the teacher never e-mailed me back; he's probably off drinking a whiskey or something). That means that I'll be downtown from 7 AM till about 9:40 PM at night. Booo. I'll have to find something to entertain myself between classes. Perhaps I can convince Megan to let me hang out in her apartment and drag, uh, stuff?
On the exchange student front she hates her high school. She started crying at school on Friday in front of her liason (which earned her an equally outing with the woman, ha ha). She came home in a thoroughly pissed and depressed mood so I had to cheer her up, making her lunch and forcing her to watch a movie with me (Alice in Wonderland... disney is so bad. :) Then, since I had gotten 3 1/2 hours of sleep the night before I took a nap (she did too since she was tired from what-ever) and THEN, 20 minutes before my alarm was going to go off she came into my room in hysterics saying she broke the printer. I was like, "You didn't break the printer. I'll fix it later." But did she get the hint to get out? Course not. She stayed in hysterics in my room for five minutes until I basically yelled at her I'd fix it later and let me get some friggin' sleep. :p I only take so much.
Other then that... I've actually updated at ff.NET. Ooooh, my story. Feels all special. :) It's been awhile since I've actually updated since I thought about quitting because of a certain incident, but I won't go into it. Whatever. *shrugs*
Anyway, I guess I should work on homework. *pats blog* My friend, I won't leave you alone for such long periods of time again, okay? *blog feels no emotion since it's an inanimate object*. Perhaps this whole animation thing and emotions in everything is getting to me. :p

Wow... it's been awhile since I've actually written in my blog. I've been evil and been writing at my livejournal lately since.... *the sound of wind* Who knows! :D But life in general has been somewhat hectic lately, especially since the quarter is coming to a close (three more weeks!!). It's weird... I mean, the last time I really wrote in here I was at the start of the school quarter and freaking out about it. bwhahha!! That idea highly amuses me right now. :)
Last night I stayed up till midnight to register for classes next quarter. I planned my scedule all out and OF COURSE the classes I wanted (or more specifically, the science and intro. to graphic design class) were not there meaning I had to do some re-thinking and planning. We growl at you!!!! Anyway, here is my "temporary" scedule (when they use that word I have a definate sense of foreboding).
Fall of 2003 Scedule
Monday (7:30 AM) : Intro to Computer Graphics
Tuesday : nothing (YAY!)
Wednesay : (7:30 AM) Intro to 2D animation ; (12:00 PM) Color Theory
Thursday : (7:30 AM) Analysis of Form
Friday : (7:30 AM) General Science
Okay, I decided I love having afternoon classes and look what I ended up with. -_-; At least I didn't get stuck with night classes since my school is in Bumsville... o_o;
Today I chatted on the phone with my online friend Sara for the first time!!!! :D It was a blast! I mean, gya! Still totally hyped and excited about that! We ended up talking for two hours and twenty minutes and only stopped talking since Mom started narking on me about the phone and what-not, although Sara had bought a phone card. When I finally got off Mom said she's going to get me a phone card since, looking at us today, she said I'd probably use all the cellphone minutes. :p Oops.

I got called this morning to babysit today. ^___^;; I realize I forgot to tell her earlier that the scedule had not worked out like I thought it would and that I have afternoon classes three days a week and morning two. Ahhh well, c'est la vie.
This morning I was also suppose to take my Mom to the bus, however, she never woke me up and I guess she had Dad take her (although Dad was pissy about it). When she told me that I have to take her tomorrow I was like, "*ugh* Fine" and she started yelling at me. Geez, awake less than ten minutes and I already got chewed out. All signs point to today being a great day, don't you think?

So, wahoo, week two of the long series called "higher education"... or at least that is what my muddled brain is telling me college is called. Well, technically I'm not in college.. I'm in a "technical school" or what-not. *sigh* Anyway.... today I had perspective which wouldn't be that bad if the teacher didn't have a monotone voice and lecture us for much of the four hours. -_- I mean, wahooo! Perspective! Draw a line to the horizen and such. (this might not be good considering the career path I am taking). -_-
My design project. Grrrr. Okay, so I e-mailed my teacher since I was unsure if we needed to have thumbnails, which it turns out we need quite a few so she knows that we have "experimented with other ideas and let's me know that you have experienced the different design principles." *snorts* Okay... I already got my sketch done so now what... I guess I'll just bullshit and make a bunch of thumbnails that suck and show that I was "thinking" about different ideas. I'm so evil. :)
Class got out early today and I had promised my Mom that I would take the bus home with her. So Meghan said I could go up and see the student housing (where she is living) and we could wander around together. From the stories I've heard I'm happy that I am still living at home. Anyway! We wandered around Pike and I went to this bakery I went to with Caitlin last summer... *___* Crossiants taste really good when you're hungry. *__* We wandered a little into the market then I checked my watch and found I had to go. Hiked up the hill with her, said our goodbye, and I walked down the street until my turn and hiked up the other hill. Got to the bus station and waited in the shade (with my bags on the ground) for Mom. The bus was packed. ~___~ I like communiting but at times like that... grr. Finally got to the stop and had to stop at Kinko's to get copies of my homework (since she doesn't want us to tear out of the sketchbook). La de da, ate dinner... Ingrid had had a bad day so I felt crummy for her. ;___; I've concluded I'm going to comb through Pike and find that tea she likes! XD *determination*
Well, it's 10:15 and I want to ink in my drawing and take a shower and get a few of my b.s thumbnails done. :) I'm so evil it hurts. XD

So tired... *___* The first week thus far has been pretty stressful but I think I like the school. Thus far my weirdest assignment (I've had two classes and need to leave for my third one in 45 minutes (to catch the bus downtown)) is drawing the emotions of house hold applicances.... certainly expands the mind. Today is college math... I weep. I don't want to take math! *wails* Hopefully it won't be that bad... and hopefully we aren't required to have a book yet since I have no idea what it's suppose to be. *___* <-- doomed.

o_o Am so fucking nervous about tomorrow. When Mom finally got home she wrote out this detailed advice/guide for how to ride the bus and which stop I am suppose to get off at. On the back of that sheet she did a really funky ass map of the downtown area and which way I'm suppose to walk to get to school. Sudden sense of foreboding. I mean, I've walked from Mom's building to the school but never have ridden a bus downtown and tried to get to the damn school! *hyperventalition* The good news is that Mom is at court all day tomorrow so if I get lose I'm screwed. *wails*
I've vegged all weekend and did absolutely nothing... well, nothing is very broad. I updated 9 Lives, did episode summaries at White Dragon, and cut-up the layout and made an enter button for Pippa's Maaya Sakamoto page. Gods when the hell am I going to get this to her? Perhaps instead of going back to sleep tomorrow morning (I have to take Mom to the bus at 6:30 though I don't have to fucking be downtown until noon) and wait for Pippa to come online...? I have to leave the house like 10:00 tomorrow morning to catch a bus at 10:37...
I'm doomed.
I had to call my uncle today... o_o; I'm seriously afraid of the man. I mean, I'm sure he's nice but he's so serious and I've hardly seen the man. Probably only a handful of occasions in my life. But I was so nervous I kept stuttering and tripping over words probably giving him the impression I'm a complete moron. Great.
Must shower and get to bed... ;___; Has been nice knowing you internet, I will miss thee.

Wahoo! New layout like I promised myself. :) I'm pretty happy with the results, however, give me a few days for it to sink in and my usual hatred to come back into play. I know my character so well.
Today was the day from HELL. Okay, not that bad, just the part about me going to school to take the Math ASSET test and the part about me putting in the wrong student ID number by 1 number!! The school has two building about a seven minute/three block distance apart. I took the test at the north campus, la de da, then walked up the the south campus to turn in my results. Well, turns out I entered the wrong number (since I swear I'm turning dyslexic) and that took a good five minutes and phone calls to figure that bit out. So then they send me back to the north campus to tell the test people I had done the wrong number and they succeded in having me write messages on my purse while they sorted it out of "I'm so fucking stupid" and "I want to die." One lady said I had to take the test again, although I tested into college level math, and the other lady who was present during the test didn't see why I should and was so mad (and frustrated I was so stupid probably). Finally they figured it out and luckily that student number wasn't taken (and can't be thanks to me) and they'll have to do a whole paper trail because of me and I have to check back in two weeks because I'm a friggin' moron. Seriously, I made a mistake, it's not like the school hasn't before. I haven't even started and I have plenty to complain about with the admissions staff. Grrr.
Well, after that I walked around downtown, figuring out the ropes and walked to Mom's office about sixteen blocks away in 80 F weather. I enjoyed it though. ;) There are some odd balls downtown and I felt like a friggin' country hick. Grr. I'm sure that after a few months of school down there I'll be all suave and shit. (haaa). I have to go back there on Friday for orientation... shoot me now.

I'm back in action! *high kicks in the air* Okay, first off why this blog vanished for a week or two. I tried moving it over to blogger and under my own server, however, blogger and I have major issues with my ftp and stuff and finally, pissed off, I decided to find a place to host the images (since I set up the .htaccess to prevent direct linking on my server), which I did, and now HAZZAH! I'm back! Let me tell you, I adore pitas since it's not a pain in the ass like some CERTAIN blogging company which shall remain unnamed. ~____~
Today I have to go downtown and take the, dun dun dun, ASSET test to try and test out of Math. o_o; I'm slightly worried, however, I got all A's in Math for the past 4 years (you have to take away from the Geometry year since I really sucked at that thus got a B). I tried calling my contact/liason/whatever person at school today to talk about my orientation on Friday however she wasn't there so I had to leave a message. *shakes fist* I'm going to try and call her back in a few minutes or so.
I should get a new layout for this blog. :) Not that I don't love it (I adore it you whore) it's just I'm in a neon orange and pink mood lately because of my current wallpaper. Haaa haaa. :)
I went to the school website and found out this information about my course of study:
"Computer games, motion graphics for television, and animated films are just a few of the career paths for media arts & animation graduates. The opportunities in this field continue to expand. Animators create scientific and medical visualizations, courtroom reenactments, 3-D architectural simulations, educational materials, web graphics, and much more.
What will you study? Animation students begin with a strong foundation in design, drawing, color, 2-D animation, and video production. As they advance, students learn to storyboard, create and animate 3-D models, develop background layouts, special effects and compositing. Students learn what it takes to work in production environments and how to market themselves and their skills. As part of their course work, all students develop a traditional portfolio and a digital portfolio to show prospective employers.
Students work in both Mac and PC computer labs, gaining experience with a variety software programs. Students have numerous opportunities to participate in contests, group projects, and internships where they gain valuable production skills.
Graduates are prepared for entry-level positions as 3-D modelers, storyboard artists, animators, illustrators, digital artists, FX artists, video post-production artists, broadcast graphic designers, and game designers.
Animation students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of professional organizations where they can network and meet industry professionals."
Also that the classes I'll be taking this summer are:
Design
World Civilization - 1775 to Present
Drawing and Perspective
Digital Media
Survey of Media and Design
Shits and giggles, I'm looking forward to this! I guess this is a long entry, me go call school now. T____T
